MONOCHROM - Im Einklang mit der Form

While Europeans appreciated blue & white porcelain and colorful decoration, monochrome glazed objects were more to Chinese tastes. Though material limitations may have been at the origin of monochrome glazing, an independent aesthetic probing the interplay of form and color emerged. The exhibition will focus on four colors used in monochromes: green, yellow, white, and red.
