Kamen Stoyanov

On the occasion of the Viennafair 2007, the MUMOK will award the 'Zone 1' prize to the Bulgarian-born artist Kamen Stoyanov who currently resides in Vienna. The prize was created to support young artists at the Viennafair with special booths. The prize is given in connection with the purchase of award-winning works and a presentation of the winner at the MUMOK during the period of the Viennafair 2008. Stoyanov has distinguished himself as an careful observer of urban space with his works marked by the aesthetics of advertisement and consumerism and with the impact these have on the people who are active in these spaces. Stoyanov will present new films and installations at the MUMOK’s showcase in the Babenbergerpassage, in the VIP lounge and in the entryway to the Factory.
