Paul Klee - Masterpieces of the Djerassi Collection

From 9 May to 10 August 2008 the Albertina will present the most comprehensive Paul Klee retrospective ever in Austria. The starting point of the show will be a collection of 65 of Klee's works given to the Albertina by Carl Djerassi, complemented by works from the museum's own holdings. These will be on view along with some 40 Klee pictures from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and a further 35 oil paintings from international collections and museums. The Albertina will thus be exhibiting 150 of Paul Klee's works.
