Collier Schorr - Forests & Fields

The Badischer Kunstverein is pleased to present American artist Collier Schorr's first large scale exhibition in Germany.

Collier Schorr’s photographs, videos and vitrines address appropriated identities and shifting histories. The figures of “Forest and Fields” have been activated by a series of vitrine works that puncture ones’ sense of past and present. Generally reserved for historical presentations, Schorr’s free-standing ‘collage’ works contradict this notion . Scrapbooks, objects and reference books are interrupted by candid color contemporary photographs and test prints; giving the viewer a more up to the moment view of the show's construction.
