Zizi Jeanmaire - Roland Petit

Bridging the worlds of ballet and music hall, the mythical couple formed by the great choreographer Roland Petit and his wife, the ballet star Zizi Jeanmaire, is also the union of a stage director and a theatrical revue leader. Throughout their shared career, they collaborated extensively with other renowned artists for the production of stage sets, costumes and theatre curtains. Drawing on their extended archives, this exhibition presents a large number of their creations as testimonials to their artistic encounters. Drawings, sketches, canvasses, projects and costumes offer a large panorama of intense creative effort, presented for the first time to the general public thanks to the generous initiative of these two Genevans by adoption.
