The Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen was founded by citizens and artists in 1829 and is one of the biggest art associations in Germany with a total of 4,000 members. It supports young interna­tional art, which it presents in single and thematic group exhibitions. The Kunstverein is devoted to supporting and getting across innovative artistic positions.
