...at a top location. Architectural fantasies in contemporary jewellery

Since the days of medieval Jewish wedding rings, the relationship between architectural forms and jewellery has been a recurring theme in jewellery design. Roughly 25 artists, established names and newcomers alike, will present some 80 works in which they demonstrate that ground plans and architectural ornamentation, walls, rooms and structures still provide an inspiration for striking and fascinating creations. The exhibition is a contribution to the 2008 Forum aktueller Architektur in Cologne and was designed in collaboration with the Schmuckgalerie Pilartz, Cologne.
